Required: 10 Choreographers for The Tree Of Light

The Tree Of Light is a regional large-scale community event celebrating London 2012. The Thames Arts consortium (Windsor Festival, Henley Festival, Ciao and Oxford Inspires) will be delivering a series of spectacular events in the Thames Valley in  June/July next year involving 1200 community performers from around the South East region.

Stewart Collins (Henley Festival Director) is the project’s overall Artistic Director and Charlie Morrissey is The Tree Of Light Lead Choreographer.

Thames Arts would like to recruit 10 choreographers to work with the 40 recruited groups involved in the project.

Dance Umbrella 2011 Commission – Rosemary Lee, Square Dances

Square Dances, commissioned by Dance Umbrella, will take place in four central London squares performed six times a day on October 8th and 9^th. A Company Stage Manager experienced at working with large groups of people from varied backgrounds is required to manage the day-to-day running of the dance company for this major outdoor participatory project including studio and outdoor rehearsal and supervising the project’s stage management team.

Cloud Dance Festival is back, and seeking applications!

Our next festival, Firefly, will be held on 22-24 July 2011 at Pleasance Theatre, off Caledonian Road. 

Cloud Dance Festival is a thrice-yearly contemporary dance platform open to all contemporary dance & modern ballet professionals, whether they are students, graduates, companies, choreographers or dancers; a full list of recent performers can be seen on our website.

We aim to showcase the best and most exciting in new contemporary dance and modern ballet, and to make both dance styles more accessible to the wider non-dance public.

We are seeking applications from any interested performers; pieces should be completed by the time of performance and last up to 15 minutes in length, however we also have limited slots for pieces up to 20 minutes in length.
